The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible is the Word of God and the revelation that Jesus is Lord.

God spoke to His children through 66 books, 1,189 chapters and 31,102 verses. By this means, He imparted His will, blessings, favours, and promises on His people. Most importantly, He shared the knowledge of the spiritual laws and principles that rule and govern His Kingdom.

With 5 billion copies sold worldwide, the Holy Bible is the best-selling book in history. Though written centuries ago, it still holds truths and wisdom that billion of Christians follow and rely on for guidance in their daily lives.

Do we still need to read it today? Absolutely. How else would we know Our Father's will and purpose for our lives? How would we learn to recognise His voice? How would we recognise false doctrine and fake preaching that abound in the churches nowadays?

The Bible is the compass that guides, leads and protects God's children in all their endeavours, it's the GPS that keeps us from going astray, it's the reassurance that we are and we stay unto the right path.

And apart from all those precious teachings, it's a wonderful storyteller and cautionary tale of the lives, the loves, the triumphs and the failures of the mighty men and women of God whose lives were full of His presence.

Yours in Him

Who Are We?

On a Sunday morning, the Sunday School coordinator announced to the assembly that he needed new teachers upstairs for Sunday School. I didn't wink. It wasn't for me. And yet it kept churning in my mind the whole week for a reason I could not explain. By the end of that week, I knew for sure that I would report upstairs, it was for me after all. Duty called.

So i reported upstairs and gave my first lesson the following week. I had no idea they followed a syllabus, so I thought I would introduce the kids to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus through the fruits of His Spirit. The first lesson was Love, of course, I made an outline with a quizz and questions. It was a lot of fun, we laughed a lot and prayed, and they got homework from me for the following week.

The following week I was informed that I had to follow the syllabus. I was somewhat disappointed and wondered what to do with my concept. Then dawned in my spirit the idea to make a book collection from it. And since I speak 3 languages....you get the rest.

So this is how this project came about and I have a lot of fun creating the series. A good friend and a woman of God, Rilana Panday, was my daughter's teacher at the Day Care. She had made back in the day a beautiful sketch of hers that I loved very much. So I asked her if she would make the sketches for the series and she gladly obliged.

God's plan came together beautifully and I am honoured and delighted to share it with all of you wherever you are and whatever language you speak.

Let's work together and spread the words of Our Lord and Saviour to the end of the world! It's my hope and my prayer that every christian child may have access to this series so that they can grow spiritually to be the persons the Lord has meant for them to be.

Many blessings.

Yours in Him

The Fruits of the Spirit children book collections

The Fruits of the Spirit series is an interactive and fun learning experience for young children to come to the knowledge and understanding of our Lord Jesus through the fruits of His Spirit. The main purpose is to not only bring them to the awareness of what their faith means, but also to progressively use the Holy Bible to discover Our Saviour through His own words.

The series is made of the 9 themes (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) as listed in Galatians 5:22-23 and split in 3 age groups: 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Each theme for each age group opens on a definition, a few Bible quotes to understand the profound meaning of the theme, then the child is invited to get a few Bible quotes on their own.

Then the theme is presented in 4 different situations the child is acquainted to in their daily lives, namely: at home, at school, in the street and with friends. And a few suggestions are made on how they can/will apply the theme to these situations.

Following that, the child is invited to note their observations of how they experienced applying the theme and close with the highlight that is the Challenge.

In their own family and/or circle of friends, the children get to choose a few persons they ask to apply the theme together for a week and report to them how it went. All those observations will be duly noted for further spiritual growth and reference.

The Fruits of the Spirit series is conceived to emphasize compassion, unity and togetherness as the families and close friends get involved in guiding the spiritual growth and building the faith of their little one. It is meant to be a pleasant, rich and fulfilling walk in the wealthy places of our Lord.

I am a Sunday School teacher in my church, the Pentecost International Worship Centre in Den Haag. The honour and privilege to guide and teach our little ones in the discovery and knowledge of our Lord Jesus inspired me these series.

Hope you think the same way too,

Yours in Him
